Rosie May Miller, nee Perkins, 96 of Mexico, formerly of Wellsville, Missouri, passed away at 8:58 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at her daughters home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville with Father Bill Debo officiating. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Rosie was born in Portland, Missouri on May 29, 1925, the daughter of Lester and Rose (Ellis) Perkins. On December 3, 1946, in St. Louis, she married Floyd "Bing" Miller who preceded her in death in 1997.

In 1949, she and Bing moved to Wellsville where they owned and operated Bing's Pastry Shop until 1952. After living in Wellsville for 46 years, she moved to Mexico.

Survivors include her children, Gail (Leland) May, of Mexico, Darrell (Janet) Miller, of Wellsville, Kathy (Larry "Doc") Kaufman, of Mexico, and Terry (Deena) Miller of Illinois; grandchildren, Glenn May, Scott Miller, Tony (Debbie) Kaufman, Nick Kaufman, Anthony Patterson, and Wesley Ramey; great grandchildren, Josh Miller, Maggie (Daniel) Davidson, Dylan (Simone) Kaufman, Brett, Barron, and Brendan May, Kelsay and Kade May, Madison Walker, Finley Lavery, and Brooklyn Ramey; Great Great Grandchildren, Olivia, Jackson, and Henry Kaufman, and Cooper Davidson.

Five generations, an honor which was bestowed upon her and her family, in which she took great pride, is very rare. Not once, but three times beginning with the four year old twins, Olivia and Jackson, then Henry, and the latest, two month old Cooper. Also, surviving are many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Richard May; her siblings, Leslie "Dutch" (Lettie Mae) Perkins, Viola Traxler, Andrew Perkins, Albert Perkins, Clarence "Pete" (Eveline) Perkins, Eugene (Edith) Perkins, and Goldie (Lewis) Britt.

She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW becoming a continuous member in 1950, serving as President and various other offices at the local and district levels. She enjoyed many activities and had many interests such as playing bingo, card games, and reading. Her suitcase was always ready when a trip was mentioned, traveling to Florida to visit friends, attending the Kentucky Derby, flying to Las Vegas, even celebrating her 80 ^th birthday there with family, trips to Tunica, Mississippi, and other locations. She was a den mother with the cub scouts and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, hardly ever missing a game whether on television or radio. She was a homemaker who took great pride in preparing meals and baking cakes and pies for family and friends. Throughout the years, she diligently canned food for her family.

She was our Mother, Friend, and Matriarch, and she will be missed.
