Sheila Mae (Hunter) Penn, 55, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Sheila was born May 14, 1964 in Troy, Missouri, a daughter of Charles Royce Hunter Sr. and Ruth (Naber) Hunter.

On July 3, 1999 in Branson, Missouri, she married Mark Gregory Penn. They have lived at their present address for over 22 years.

Sheila had worked as a cook for the Women's Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia as well as the Montgomery City Youth Center and Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville.

She loved to travel and had been to the southern states with her husband Mark as well as to Disneyland with the kids. Sheila enjoyed playing computer and board games. She also liked cooking for her family, especially her grandbabies. She didn't care what she did as long as her family was around.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Mark Penn, of the home in Middletown; children and spouses, Tim and Jennifer Heidbrink, of Bellow Falls, Vermont, Amanda and Craig Maggard, of Fulton, Katrina and Jason Cash, of Middletown, Marquita and Kenneal Palmer, of Bowling Green and Kandace and Roy Lang, of Hannibal; 17 grandchildren; mother, Ruth Moore, of Wentzville; sisters, Lois Stewart, Robbin (Jesse) Lavy, Angela (Matt) Vogler, all of Elsberry and Linda (Scott) Lang, of Wright City and brothers, Wes (Nancy) Hunter, of New Melle, Stan Hunter, of Foristell, Ben (Beckey) Hunter, of Troy, Jeff (Venesa) Hunter, of Warrenton and Royce Hunter, of Troy; in addition to several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Royce Hunter Sr. and sisters Brenda Joyce Hunter and Linda Francine Hunter.

Visitation was held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Myers Funeral Home in Middletown.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the funeral home. Rev. John Bateman officiated.

Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Cash, Royce Hunter, Stan Hunter, Jeremy Rowan, Matt Vogler and Sam Vogler.
