Sophie Lynn
Boyer
Oct 9, 2001 — Oct 26, 2019
Sophie Lynn Boyer, 18, of Wildwood, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her home, with her loving parents by her side.
Sophie was born October 9, 2001 in Chesterfield, Missouri, a daughter of David Leroy and Jennifer Lynn (Clark) Boyer.
Sophie loved spending time with her family and especially going on family vacations. Her favorite spots were Branson and Florida. Sophie enjoyed hearing familiar voices, loved being talked to and read to, and really enjoyed songs her Mom, Dad, and Sister sang to her. She loved shopping at the mall with Mom and Sis, loved the sights, sounds, smells and all the action.
Sophie's nickname was "Sunshine Biscuit," because she was always the light in the room – her eyes were bright with love and life.
Sophie was an outside girl, she loved walks in the park, swinging outside, and loved family fires by the fire pit at night in the fall.
Sophie's greatest joy in life was being held and touched by Mom and Dad and being told how much she was loved. She was an Angel on earth.
Sophie is survived by her parents, David and Jennifer Boyer and sister, Madeline Mae Boyer, of Wildwood; maternal grandparents, Russell "Butch" and Barbara Clark, of Montgomery City; paternal grandmother, Brenda Boyer, of De Soto; maternal great-grandmother, Janice Clark, of New Florence; paternal great-grandmother, Shirley Gowen, of De Soto; uncle, Aaron Clark and wife, Ashlee, of Montgomery City; aunt, Rhiannan Clark, of Montgomery City; in addition to great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, David Leroy Boyer, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents, Carl and Margaret Brumagin and Russell Clark, Sr. and paternal great-grandfather, Glenn Gowen.
Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church in Montgomery City. Rev. John Brumagin officiated.
Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at the church.
