Steven Wayne Craven, 58, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday evening, October 1, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday October 11, 2025, at Myers Funeral Home in Middletown with Rev. Gene Burch officiating.

Visitation will be from 2 – 5 p.m. Saturday before the service.

Steve was born November 20, 1966, in Columbia, Missouri. He was the son of Charlie and Loretta (Gaston) Craven. On June 10, 1989, in Mexico, he married Christina "Tina" Harrower, who survives.

Steve had worked for several years as a truck driver for Schafer Trucking and other trucking companies. He also worked for MoDOT and in 2000 he competed and was named the number 1 driver for dump trucks in the state of Missouri. Then he traveled to Columbus, Ohio and was ranked 6th in the Nation as a dump truck driver.  He was a member of Journey Church in Troy, Missouri, and the Patriot Guard. Steve had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need, whether it be riding, volunteering or donating, he was always the man that everyone could count on. He was a defender of the young, old, sick or injured, and his family and friends.  He loved riding his motorcycle and traveling with his wife and family. Also over the years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid supporter of youth sports, especially anything involving his children and grandchildren. He spent a lot of time over the years coaching the teams they were on. Poppy/PawPaw  just plain loved and cherished spending time with his 3 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Tina, survivors include two sons, Ryan Wayne Craven (Kristen), of Lake St. Louis, and Steven Michael Craven (Janna), of Vandalia; three grandchildren, Adrianna Elizabeth Craven, Kolton Michael Craven, and Tanner James Craven, all of Vandalia; two sisters, Cathy Lynn Burts, of Wellsville, and Verna Sue Hildebrand (Steve), of Middletown; his step-mother Joyce Craven, of Pilot Grove; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ricky Craven.
