Teresa Sue Maylee, 56, of Wellsville, passed away at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday January 26, 2026, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Burial will follow in Wellsville Cemetery.

Teresa was born in Columbia, Missouri on September 23, 1969. She was the daughter of Richard Vernon and Donne Sue (Romaker) Dixon. On November 28, 1987, in Farber, she married Jeffery Maylee who survives.

Teresa worked for many years as the Head Custodian of the Montgomery County RII School District. More recently her health did not allow her to work but she still found ways to be a huge supporter of the Systemic Scleroderma Foundation, which was the disease she fought. Also before her illness she enjoyed doing Cross Stitch and she was very into working on her physical fitness. She loved all animals, especially dogs. She very frequently mentioned how much she missed her beloved "baby" named Tiger. She had a great sense of humor and wanted everyone to remember and celebrate her remembering the good times and laughter she shared with family and friends.

In addition to her husband Jeff, she is survived by two sons, Joshua Maylee (Teya Deleveaux), of Atlanta, Georgia, and Richard Maylee (Jandele), of Vandalia; two sisters, Janice Carter (Reba Eads), of Columbia, and Angie Dixon, of Fulton; and four grandchildren, Rowan Maylee, and Logan, Laura, and Gabrielle Maylee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Beverly Roe.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the National Scleroderma Foundation. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
