Thelma Mae Crider, 93, of Wellsville, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at SSM St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Wellsville, 216 North Second Street, Wellsville, Missouri 63384. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at the Wellsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.

Thelma was born on March 25, 1932 in St. Louis, the daughter of Otho Robert and Evangelist Ora (Lakey) Morgan.  On January 23, 1960 in St. Louis, she married Willis Crider, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2004.

Thelma was a devoted member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Wellsville, where she played an active role in many areas. She led songs during services, taught Sunday School, and had a special heart for working with the little ones. She even drove a Sunday School route, making sure children had a way to get to church. Outside of church Thelma gave her time as a volunteer at the Veterans Home in Mexico, Missouri, where she earned the 100-hour pin for her dedication and service. When she wasn't helping others, she found joy in sewing and tending to flowers. She lovingly cared for all the flowers around her apartment, taking pride in their beauty.

Survivors include two sons, Willis Edward Crider Jr. (Pam) of Wellsville and Charles Robert Crider (Holly) of Warrenton; five daughters, Patricia Kay Weiser (Bud) of Wellsville, Beverly Jean Crider of Hermann, Nancy Mae Stock (Donald) of Big Springs, Lisa Darlene Crider of Montgomery City, and Adatha Davis of Lebanon; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons, Edward Crider, Michael Crider, and Doug Crider; one daughter, Pam McDaniel; five brothers, Marvin McKinney, Robert "Bob" Davis, Virgil Davis, Cletus L. Davis, and Vernon Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
