Wanda Elaine Barker, 89, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at St. Andrew's at New Florence.

Mrs. Barker was born January 30, 1931 in rural Wellsville, Missouri, a daughter of Harry Brown and Lelia Grace (Schwendker) Stuart.

She was a 1949 graduate of Wellsville High School.

On January 11, 1953 at the First Baptist Church in Wellsville, she married Clarence Clifford Barker. They were the parents of two daughters and shared over 58 years together, before he preceded her in death on October 4, 2011.

Wanda had lived in Wellsville all of her life and at her most recent address since 1967. She was a homemaker and housewife. Wanda had worked at the Wellsville Library for a while.

She attended Faith Baptist Church in Montgomery City and was a former member of the Studere Club.

Wanda loved raising flowers and gardening. She also really enjoyed her dogs and cats.

Wanda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Elaine and Roger Meadows, of Wellsville; three grandchildren, Clifford Dennis Taylor and wife, Katie, of Wellsville and Grace Barker Meadows and Patrick Lee Meadows, of Montgomery City, four great-grandchildren, Clifford Elijah Taylor and Natalie Marie Taylor, of Wellsville and Gideon Reeves Eikel and Adelin Smith, of Montgomery City; nieces, Linda Doss and husband, Dennis, of Columbia and Una Stevens and husband, David of Middletown; nephews, Darrell Stuart and wife, Kristi, of Mexico and Dale Stuart, of Wellsville; in addition to great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lelia Stuart, husband, Clarence Clifford Barker and daughter, Rhonda Jean Haney.

Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020at the Wellsville Cemetery. Rev. Dale Kirkendoll officiated. Serving as pallbearers were Patrick Meadows, Cliff Taylor, Lona Starks, Darrell Stuart, Justin Null and Paul Oliver.

Services were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
