Willard W. Leverett, 93, of Middletown, passed away at 9:05 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2021, at Middletown Baptist Church in Middletown. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home in Middletown.

Willard was born in Middletown on February 3, 1928. He was the son of Charles and Eathel (May) Leverett. On September 26, 1954, he married Gloria Steele. Gloria died September 26, 2021.

Mr. Leverett was a veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Wellsville VFW Post 3056, charter member of the Middletown Lions Club, and he was secretary of the Middletown Community Center for several years. He served as the Montgomery County Clerk from 1974 until 1990. He was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son, Terry Pritchett and wife Janice, of Middletown; two grandchildren, Christopher Pritchett and wife Carmin, of Middletown, and Regina Hill, of Middletown; four great-grandchildren, Colton and Kaylee Pritchett, and Easton and Reagan Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Middletown Lions Club or the Ronald McDonald House in Columbia. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384
