William Orin "Bill" Goshorn, 87, of rural Laddonia, passed away at 11:31 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Goshorn was born June 22, 1929, at his home in rural Wellsville, Missouri, a son of William McKinley and Caroline "Carrie" (Knipfel) Goshorn.

He was a graduate of Wellsville High School.

On November 4, 1951, in Wellsville, Missouri, he married Norma Jane Elton. They were married over 46 years and the parents of three children. Bill and Norma had lived on their farm in rural Laddonia since 1957. She preceded him in death on May 25, 1998.

Bill was a lifelong farmer, raising row crops and livestock. In his later years, he enjoyed attending senior dances with his friend, Thelma Ridenour, of New Florence.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Linda Ann Eatherton and husband, Gary John, of Montgomery City and Patrice Kay "Patti" Morris and Bill Kirchoff, of Jefferson City; son, William Stephen "Steve" Goshorn and Annelisa Goodman, of rural Mexico; nine grandchildren, Nathan Stephen and Cathy Eatherton, of Columbia, Sarah Jane and Chris Eoff, of Montgomery City, Dr. Jonathan Wayne "John" Morris, of Columbia, Rachel Marie and Malcolm Richardson Smith Jr., of Lake St. Louis, Second Lieutenant Matthew James Morris and Brittni Backues, of Jefferson City, Martin Allen "Marty" Goshorn and fiancée, Krystal Suzanne Hall, of Baytown, Texas, Mitchell Stephen Goshorn, of South Korea, Katelynn Alyssa "Katie" Goshorn and fiancé, Ryan George Bye, of Valparaiso, Indiana and Rebekah Marie Goodman, of Middletown; eleven great-grandchildren, Bryce Drew and Nora Anne Eoff, of Montgomery City, Jacob Stephen and Addison Joy Eatherton, of Columbia, Tristan Wayne and Alexander Wayne Morris, of Columbia, Malcolm Richardson III, Rowan Matthew and Ryder William Smith, of Lake St. Louis, Devon Martin Goshorn, of Mexico and Mason Blake Grant McCoy, of Baytown, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Maxine Goshorn, of the state of Oklahoma; in addition to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma Jane Goshorn and half-brothers, Elmer Foree and Joe Foree.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Rev. Bob Stanford officiated.

Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons, Nathan Eatherton, John Morris, Marty Goshorn, Matt Morris, Chris Eoff and Ryan Bye.

Visitation was held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
