Zachary Donald Roesner, 22, of Middletown, died Friday, June 5, 2020 in rural Middletown.

Zachary was born November 7, 1997 in Mexico, Missouri, a son of Michael Allen "Mike" and Mary Beth (Lawrence) Roesner.

He lived in Middletown all of his life and had attended Wellsville-Middletown R-1 High School.

Zach was currently employed with Witte Bros. in Troy, where he worked for over 2 years as a trailer technician.

He was a former Jr. Firefighter for Middletown Fire Department and a member of NRA, National Rifle Association.

Zach enjoyed many things in life but some of his favorites were hunting, especially deer, rabbit, dove and squirrel. He also liked fishing, playing corn hole and working on trucks. Zachary loved going to Mark Twain Lake and visiting with friends at the campgrounds. He was an avid collector of guns and knives. Zach was very outgoing and never met a stranger. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends and especially his 4-year-old niece, Rylie.

Zachary is survived by his parents, Mike and Mary Beth Roesner, of Middletown; brother and sister-in-law, Michael Lane and Abbey Roesner, of St. Charles; niece, Rylie Nicole Roesner, of St. Charles; grandmother, Phyllis Kay Lawrence, of Middletown; grandfather, James Raymond "Jim" Roesner, of Montgomery City; aunts and uncles, Faith and Mark Lawrence, of Wentzville, Connie and Tim Morgan, of Moberly, Tammy and Chuck Giger, of Montgomery City, Debbie and Jackie Brower, of Montgomery City, Jim "J.R." and Gina Roesner, of Fulton; in addition to numerous great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Eugene Lawrence and paternal grandmother, Peggy Ann Roesner.

Visitation was held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Middletown Baptist Church

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2020 at the church. Rev. John Foster officiated.

Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown. Serving as pallbearers were Lane Roesner, Samuel Bisanti, Brandon Lawrence, Gregory Morgan, Ben Smallwood and Darrel Trendley.
