Paul Leonard, 81, of Wellsville, formerly of Bridgeton, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the home of his friend, Sue Talir.
Mr. Leonard was born January 13, 1939 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, a son of John and Mae (Webb) Leonard.
Paul had worked for Hartman and Walsh Painting Company, which is now known as Clayco Construction for over 40 years as a foreman painter and appraiser.
He lived in Bridgeton for many years before moving to Wellsville recently to live with his daughter.
Paul was a member of N.R.A., National Rifle Association and the Painter’s Union.
He enjoyed watching sports and especially liked playing golf. Paul also liked hunting and fishing, sitting at the bar and participating in BB gun shoots.
Paul is the loving husband and father of wife, Bettye Leonard, of Bridgeton; children, Kimberly (Michael) Kluge, of Florissant, Jamie Leonard, of Maryland Heights, Shannan Leonard, of Bridgeton, Paula Cronk, of Wellsville and Kristen Kitrel, of St. Charles; ten grandchildren, Tyler Shane, Neal Smith, Mackenzie Smith, Zachary Smith, Jamie Leonard, Jr., Tishia Cronk and Walter Lovett, Sr., John Keith Barbee, Jr., Arianna English, Trey English and Amiya Brown; three great-grandchildren, Karma Mae Barbee and Faith and Walter Lovett, Jr.; sisters, Johnnie Mae Cameron, of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Sharon (Paul) Edmonston, of the State of Texas; in addition to several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Leonard; mother, Mae Leonard Kavanagh and sisters, Lois Williams and Juanita Gore.
A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
